The Silvertree Hotel in Snowmass Village, Colorado

Chalmers was in the hospitality industry for over twenty years, having held key management positions with Westin, Adam’s Mark and several independent resorts. He has been involved in the development, expansion and renovation of hotels as well.

Chalmers has long been a believer of "Community Involvement". Presently he serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County. Past involvement include St. Edward’s School Advancement Committee, the Community Advisory Board of the Junior League of Indian River County. Past President of the Aspen Camp School for the Deaf and numerous boards of directors including: Anderson Ranch Art Center and the Mayor’s Advisory Board on Childcare, both in Colorado.

Chalmers grew up in Lake Forest, Illinois and went to Tabor Academy in Massachusetts where he acquired a love for sailing and the sea. He attended Paul Smith’s College where he majored in hotel management. Chalmers is married to Debra Morse of Long Island and has one grown son C.J. and twins Charlotte and William.
